A GENTLE PLACE TO BEGIN
Before the dua, come as you are
If you opened this page for hope on the greatest night, begin without forcing yourself to sound spiritual. Dua is not a performance. It is the servant turning toward Allah with need, hope, honesty, and whatever words can be gathered today.
The Quran does not make your situation small, and it does not make your fear, guilt, longing, or uncertainty bigger than Allah. Let the references below widen the dua so it becomes more than a request for relief: a return, a surrender, a hope, and a step toward what pleases Him.
WHAT YOU MAY BE CARRYING
If this need is where you are today
For Laylat al Qadr, dua should feel like returning to Allah with your real life in your hands. Not a caption, not a performance, not a spiritual shortcut — a servant asking the One who knows the seen and unseen.
Start with words Allah taught in the Quran and words preserved from the Prophet ﷺ where relevant. Then make your own asking honest, concrete, and connected to one action you can take.
SOURCED DUAS FIRST
Begin with words from the Quran and Sunnah
These are not decorative quotes. Read the source label, know the meaning, and let the dua teach your heart how to ask. Where a card is Quranic, it points to the ayah. Where it is prophetic, it is labeled as a hadith source.
اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
Ihdinas-sirat al-mustaqim.
Meaning: Guide us to the straight path.
The most repeated request in a Muslim's life is not for status or ease. It is for guidance.
رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka Antas-Sami'ul-'Alim.
Meaning: Our Lord, accept from us. You are the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
Even after building the Ka'bah, Ibrahim and Ismail ask for acceptance. Good deeds still need humility.
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah wa fil-akhirati hasanah wa qina 'adhaban-nar.
Meaning: Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
This dua keeps the believer broad: worldly good, eternal good, and protection from the worst ending.
رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِي
Rabbi-j'alni muqimas-salati wa min dhurriyyati.
Meaning: My Lord, make me one who establishes prayer, and also from my descendants.
Worship is not only a private habit; believers ask Allah for prayer to live in the home after them.
PERSONAL, NOT SOURCED
Turn this moment into a real dua
After the sourced duas, do not reach for grand language. Bring Allah the exact shape of this day: what happened, what it stirred inside you, what you are afraid to choose, and what kind of servant you want to become next.
Be honest about the gap between what you want your worship to be and what your worship currently feels like.
Ask Allah for: sincerity, steadiness, love for prayer, and a Quran habit small enough to survive real life.
Ya Allah, make prayer beloved to me again. Help me begin with the next prayer, even if my feelings lag behind my intention.
After the dua: Attach the dua to one worship action you can do today: the next salah, one ayah, one dhikr, one sincere sajdah, or one saved reflection.
Name the friction: tiredness, dryness, distraction, missed prayers, guilt, inconsistency, or feeling far from the Quran.
Ask Allah for: presence without harshness, discipline without vanity, and a heart that returns after interruption.
Ya Allah, accept my worship when it feels small. Give it sincerity, presence, and consistency, and do not let me worship only when it feels easy.
After the dua: Restart smaller than your guilt wants you to restart. Consistency often begins beneath the ego's standards.
Come to Allah with the next act, not the fantasy of a perfect version of yourself.
Ask Allah for: barakah in a small act of worship and protection from abandoning it because it feels ordinary.
Ya Allah, make remembrance a shelter for my heart and a discipline for my tongue, until my days are shaped by turning back to You.
After the dua: Let the app help you return to meaning, but let the meaning push you back toward worship.
Let this card become specific. If you are asking about Quran habit, tell Allah where it is happening: the person, habit, fear, wound, decision, or hour of the day.
Ask Allah for: help that reaches this exact layer, not only a general feeling — sincerity, steadiness, love for prayer, and a Quran habit small enough to survive real life.
Ya Allah, open a steady door between me and Your Book. Let one ayah become guidance, not just information.
After the dua: Choose one small response that matches Quran habit: a prayer, apology, boundary, message, pause, plan, or act of restraint.
Let this card become specific. If you are asking about night and morning, tell Allah where it is happening: the person, habit, fear, wound, decision, or hour of the day.
Ask Allah for: help that reaches this exact layer, not only a general feeling — presence without harshness, discipline without vanity, and a heart that returns after interruption.
Ya Allah, bless the beginning and ending of my day with prayer, remembrance, gratitude, and protection from heedlessness.
After the dua: Choose one small response that matches night and morning: a prayer, apology, boundary, message, pause, plan, or act of restraint.
Let this card become specific. If you are asking about I keep restarting, tell Allah where it is happening: the person, habit, fear, wound, decision, or hour of the day.
Ask Allah for: help that reaches this exact layer, not only a general feeling — barakah in a small act of worship and protection from abandoning it because it feels ordinary.
Ya Allah, do not let my many restarts make me cynical. Let each return become more sincere than the one before it.
After the dua: Choose one small response that matches I keep restarting: a prayer, apology, boundary, message, pause, plan, or act of restraint.
Quran doorways that deepen the dua
A good dua page should not end at words to recite. Let the Quran widen the asking: what does Allah want the heart to remember, release, repair, seek, or trust?
The Night of Decree is marked by Quran, angels, peace, and immense worth.
A blessed night is connected with wise command and mercy.
Ramadan's honor is tied to the Quran's revelation.
The night is sought with hope in Allah's vast mercy.
The servant repeatedly asks for guidance, the heart of Ramadan's seeking.
Worship and asking for help belong together.
Prayer and patience are supports in difficulty.
Prayer restrains the person who lets it shape them.
Prayer is tied to remembering Allah.
Allah knows the limits and conditions of people.
A seven-minute dua flow
Use this when you want the page to become practice instead of information.
- Arrive truthfully: say what Laylat al Qadr is doing to your heart, body, choices, relationships, or worship today.
- Begin with revelation: choose one Quranic or prophetic supplication above and recite it slowly enough that the meaning teaches the heart how to ask.
- Let the Quran widen the moment: sit with one reference below, preferably with a trusted translation and the surrounding verses.
- Ask for the inward repair: ask Allah for the heart-change beneath the need — sakinah, tawbah, patience, courage, humility, gratitude, restraint, or trust.
- Ask for the outward path: ask for the next faithful means: a boundary, apology, counsel, rest, help, study, charity, prayer, or leaving a harmful door.
- Leave with one sentence: choose one dua line from this page and repeat it later when the same feeling returns.
- Return without novelty: let the same dua accompany you again. Repetition can soften the heart when a new page cannot.

WHEN DUA NEEDS SUPPORT
If this need involves panic, self-harm, abuse, severe distress, medical symptoms, unsafe family dynamics, or a religious ruling that changes real responsibilities, do not carry it alone. Make dua, and also reach a qualified clinician, local scholar, emergency support, or trusted person who can help in real time. Seeking help can be part of tawakkul.
